We hit 10,000 subscribers on the beehiiv YouTube channel 🎉 Last year, while I was still an intern, I told Edward W. that I wanted to take on the YouTube channel as my internship project. Previously, I had grown my own YouTube channel (also tutorial-based) to 200K+ subscribers and 25M+ views. I had never even considered that there was a need for these types of videos for other companies. But now, I think it's necessary in 2024. __ If you're running your own SaaS company, there are a few reasons why you might consider creating video tutorials: 1️⃣ Reduces churn → Customers who don't know how to use your product will stop paying. Users pay you because they're looking for a solution to their problem (if they're unable to, they will churn). If a user is "stuck," they will churn. If there is too much "friction," they will churn. If they have too many questions, they will churn. Educating customers through videos ensures they use your product the way you intend them to. 2️⃣ Reduces customer support time. - Videos are more in-depth and shareable than any response a customer support rep can send a customer. - Oftentimes, users will try to find a solution to their problems before even contacting you; creating tutorials can steer tons of users from contacting you in the first place. - Educating customers enables them to educate other customers; I often see beehiiv customers help each other (less work for us)! 3️⃣ Attract prospective customers → Give them a demo without giving them a demo. The first thing a customer will do before they pay is search up your product. They want to see if they're a right fit for them, if the product is easy to use, if other people are using it, if it's up-to-date, etc. They want to see what it would be like to use your product (without having to pay). Having up-to-date tutorials, documentation, and demos is an easy way for a customer to "test" your product before they even pay for it. And... it's an even greater signal to a customer that your company is responsive and has a community. Having a landing page with large text is not enough. __ That's it... if you wanna check out beehiiv, you can do it here: https://lnkd.in/eZq-CwRb

Cloud-Native & Azure Cost Optimization Specialist | Microsoft MVP | GitHub Expert | Empowering CTOs & IT Managers | Owner of Azure FinOps Essentials & MindByte Weekly Pulse newsletters

🎉 I hit another milestone: 5000 subscribers! After around 86 weekly editions of my newsletter, I now have 5000+ people receiving and, hopefully, reading what I have to share about @GitHub, @Microsoft Azure, and coding in .NET. I started on the Twitter platform using Revue, with only a handful of subscribers, to share the things I collected and found relevant to my knowledge and work. When Twitter closed this service, I moved to beehiiv, which served me well. I plan to continue sending out my MindByte Weekly Pulse letter for many more editions! Thanks to all my subscribers for allowing me to drop my babble in your mailboxes every week! PS thanks Guille Ojeda for your support!
