We’ve seen all the tech layoffs happening. We’ve seen how companies are now using automated resume screening to make a dent in applications. It’s tiring, we know. So why IS IT so hard to find a job in 2024? 🤔 👉🏽The job market just isn’t desirable for applicants. The demand is high and there are thousands of people applying for the same job. 👉🏽Employer standards have changed. Because the demand is high, it’s an employer’s market. They can be as selective and as choosy as they want, searching for the “unicorn” employee. 👉🏽The unemployment wait time has increased a lot. More layoffs = longer hiring processes = more unemployment wait times. Don’t be discouraged. It’s news like this that motivates us to be a resource in the community.
