Construction has commenced for the City of Virginia's Public Safety Center and Regional Training Facility! This is a much-needed facility for the community as many rural areas face challenges in strong emergency medical services and healthcare. The original fire station was built in 1895 and has outgrown and outdated its space. Similarly, the police facility is in the historic City Hall facility and can no longer serve the community from this location and needs modern facilities that will help them serve the community. The new build will now be a one-stop shop for all services for the Virginia Fire, EMS, and Police Department. We are looking forward to the progress to unfold! Oertel Architects is proud to have worked with such a great City of Fridley staff on Moore Lake Park! The grand opening was a spectacular event! Thanks to James Kosluchar, Nic Schmidt, Jesslyn Quiram, Jeff Jensen ,Mike Maher, Margo Numedahl, Rachel Workin, Tony DeForge and all other from Fridley for working on this project with us! CG Schmidt attended the Gibraltar Area School District's groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, kicking-off the construction that will significantly enhance the district's facilities – starting with a two-story addition classroom wing. Moving into 2025, the project will expand to include a new gym, locker rooms, cafeteria, classrooms, offices and a main front enhance. We are eager to take part in this transformative school project and support the educational growth of the Gibraltar Area School District in Fish Creek, Wisconsin!
