Juan Fernando Lopera, Chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer, Beth Israel Lahey Health and ALX100 honoree has been named a Diversity Leader in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare. Juan is the first person to hold the chief DEI officer role at Beth Israel Lahey Health. He spearheaded a team that analyzed data to find health disparities among Black and Latino patients, partner with local practices and develop targeted interventions to address unequal outcomes. Congratulations!

Beth Israel Lahey Health has opened a new multispecialty site in Watertown. The site, known as the BILH Care Center – Watertown, is located at 480 Pleasant Street and includes Primary Care and OBGYN services. Additional specialty services and an urgent care center will be opened at the site over the next several months. Primary care and urgent care services will be provided by clinicians from BILH Primary Care, and the specialty services will be provided by clinicians from Mount Auburn Hospital. “The new care center will further BILH’s goal of providing more care in the community, closer to where people live,” said Alex Barker, Chief Operating Officer, BILH Primary Care. “We look forward to serving more patients in Watertown and the surrounding communities with the extraordinary care provided by our clinicians.” Read more⬇️ https://lnkd.in/ediip7fa

We are thrilled to highlight all of the important work they do within our communities this week. Today we highlight Charles River Health Center. CRCH has locations in Allston/Brighton and Waltham serves a diverse population of community residents with primary care, behavioral health, dentistry, optometry and more. CRCH addresses food insecurity by providing access to fresh produce and groceries to more than 350 families at monthly Mobile Markets.
