There are currently more children in foster care than there are foster homes to care for them. In this time of great need, passionate individuals and families can make all the difference. Connect with us to find ways to get involved: www.bethany.org/LMJSTMPY.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve received a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. This funding will provide crucial assistance to Genesee County families, offering training, housing, transportation, and support. Across the U.S., more than 60% of family separations in the foster care system are associated with neglect, often directly coinciding with families living in poverty. That’s why our solution is to help strengthen and support parents so they can be reunited with their children whenever it’s safe to do so by addressing the barriers that initially brought their family into foster care.

The work we’re doing together is hard. But it’s urgent, essential, and worthwhile. This past year, we’ve touched thousands of lives. And we couldn’t have done it without our faith in God and your faith in us. Please join us in thanking God for the purpose he’s laid before us and the good we’ve accomplished together. And pray that, together, we will continue setting up generations to thrive. Read our full annual report here: www.bethany.org/VNOGBXIL.

Will and Colleen don’t do anything halfway. So when they said yes to foster parenting, it changed their lives. After caring for children who had been moved through up to 10 different foster homes, they said no more. They wanted their home to be kids’ last stop in foster care, whether that meant a child’s last move before going back to their home and family or adopting if a child in their care couldn’t go home. That’s how they became a family with 10 children—eight still in their home and their foster license still active. Hear their joyful journey of foster parenting here: https://lnkd.in/gCG3zpCV
