Dad drop #72. Teaching your children about negative influences around them. As parents, our natural instinct is to shield our kids from things we perceive as negative. This is incorrect. We should teach our kids that negative influences are all around, acknowledge them when we see them, and arm them with tools to deal with them through our actions. In the pic below, I told him that there are people that don't respect other people's property and rights. We do. We train and are ready to defend our loved ones and property - it is a thinking game more than a physical one, though we are prepared for both. It is the most important job we have. The security, safety and leadership in your family is up to you as the parent - no one else cares.

Linkedin Team, please help me to welcome our newest Beyond The Brotherhood Fellow, Adam B. Weiner to the "Cartel" that is our growing list of transitioning Navy SEALs and Partners. Adam served 14 years with the majority of his time on our nation's most clandestine platforms before finishing his career as Executive Officer of SEAL Team 7. Adam left the Teams to find more time for his family and started his own business, Freedom Financial to serve as his clients’ Personal CFO and most trusted advisor. You can check him out here: https://lnkd.in/gtx5kDt8 I know Adam well - he was my roommate through selection and training (BUD/s) and personally vouch for his character, competence and trustworthiness. The ask: Please connect with or follow Adam so we can accelerate him in building his network. My Linkedin Family has been essential in my success and it is a simple thing you can do to make a difference in the life of one of our nation's greatest warriors as he and his family transition to the civilian sector.

I recently had the unique opportunity to visit the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The experience was both inspiring and insightful, as I got a behind-the-scenes look at one of the world's leading medical institutions. It was a privilege to meet with some of the top minds in medicine and witness their dedication to advancing healthcare. This visit was more than just a tour—it was a chance to explore potential collaborations and opportunities that align with my work as the Executive Director at Beyond the Brotherhood. Our mission to support Navy SEALs in their transition to civilian life is bolstered by building meaningful connections and opening doors for our fellows as they embark on their next chapter. Networking with professionals across diverse fields continues to be a cornerstone of our efforts, and this visit to the Mayo Clinic is a testament to the power of strategic partnerships in creating new pathways for our community. Excited for the future and the possibilities ahead! #BeyondTheBrotherhood #Leadership #Networking #Opportunities #NavySEALs #Healthcare #TransitioningVeterans #FutureReady #Collaboration
