The Values (or Virtues) of Patience, Appreciation & Gratitude I have been on this social impact/community philanthropy journey now for just over 5 years. Almost exclusively operating in the shadows..starting in July of 2019 with my research (now exceeding 2,500+ hours), & forming my 501c3 nonprofit org in 2020 (during Covid), while also earning my Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the Center for Nonprofit Studies, & then supported by over 45 students interning from 6 different universities over the 2021- 2022 school years, from which we had MBA, Masters & undergrads from top universities participate in bringing us closer to launching our unique & proprietary technology to serve & support the 66k or so community nonprofits that exist in our nation, driving positive impact, & potentially another 330k NPOs that operate under the radar (below 990 threshold of $200k revenue). I have been, well blessed is the best way to describe it, by over 70 pro bono individuals who have acted in roles from advisors, mentors, board members to execs & staffers supporting this path to bringing our platform to the world. All the while I have fully recognized that the road I am on may be less traveled, as Robert Frost would state, however that has made it all the more worthwhile & meaningful to me. Patience, Appreciation & Gratitude have paved the way on this road, when so many offered their support to only never actually provide it, from so many who claimed to be serving our mission only to place their own goals ahead of it & lastly from all those leaders in the sector who fully recognize the immense value we will offer the sector, and yet choose to watch by the sidelines, and not actually participate. I thank all of these people, for it has taught me the Values (virtues) I have titled this post. We are now arriving at the point of releasing the World's first Social Impact/Philanthropic platform (mobile app for participants & a SaaS desktop app for Nonprofits) that unites these two parties on one single social platform. Nobody has developed such a simple yet transformational technology to lead the 21st century philanthropic/social impact sector before, not any of the largest, billion dollar firms apparently "serving" the nonprofit sector nor none of the charitable giving platforms who make plenty of money (tens if not hundreds of millions) from other people's good deeds. The time has come for BGiving to spring forth & shift this narrative, solving the majority of issues plaguing the sector while also Empowering every single participant. Not only that, we accomplish this as the very lowest cost operator so that more generosity & giving ends up in the Impact Zone! Stay tuned everyone, our launch is expected in Apple/Google stores in Sep (end Q3) so be on the lookout for any of the 10 podcasts I was invited on this Summer & the media campaign that our strategic partner is crafting as we speak, to engage over 1.5m in our initial 60 days!
