Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) welcomes Sarah Jamison, MA, SPHR, INHC as our new Vice President of Human Resources. With more than 25 years of service in human resources management, Jamison brings broad-based experience and leadership in evolving environments. She has served in successive roles, leading human resources strategy and supporting positive workplace culture in organizations of various sizes and with multi-state and multiple global jurisdictions. She has also held leadership roles in a local school district and a local university. For over a decade, Jamison has provided consultation services, including workforce readiness workshops and strategic guidance and coaching to clientele, including state government and non-profit organizations. Jamison obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, in addition to a list of supplementary industry certifications. “As a member of the Leadership Team, Jamison will lead BBBSEMO’s human resources strategy, workplace culture initiatives, and the alignment of BBBSEMO’s workforce performance management with the organization’s mission, vision, and values,” said CEO/President Kristen Slaughter. “One of my core values is serving and caring for others,” Jamison says. “Human Resources speaks to my core and allows me to advocate and support in meaningful ways. BBBSEMO is an organization that honors the contributions of all stakeholders. I am invigorated by the opportunity to serve and help elevate a culture of care that allows others to flourish and fulfill professional and personal goals. Last night, we were fortunate to join a distinguished group of caring people and community partners at a reception for Saturday’s Festival of Nations. The diverse slate of speakers represented businesses, government, and civic interests, yet there was one unified message. Each expressed the power of inclusion, intentionality, and commitment to working together to impact positive change. We were blown away by the spoken word artist, the Music, and the internationally flavored fashion show and catering. This is just a taste of the fantastic weekend ahead! The Festival of Nations truly expresses our multicultural, international, and caring community.
