The BIPAC team is looking forward to everything that September has to bring. Before we kick off a new month, here are some of our top moments from August: 👋 We extended a warm welcome to the newest member of the BIPAC team, Margaret Kuhn. 🎟️ BIPAC had an exciting programming lineup, including Lead on LinkedIn with Anthony Shop of Social Driver and moderated by our very own Kim Durcho, MPA. Our wheels are still turning from all the great insights, actionable takeaways, and great questions asked during the program! 🍷 Additionally, members of BIPAC’s Board of Directors and staff got together at The Winery at Bull Run in Virginia. Thank you to our Board Member, Kelly Bobek, for bringing us together on a summer day to enjoy some networking and wine.
Welcome the newest member of the BIPAC team, Margaret Kuhn! Maggie is our new Membership Assistant and she is looking forward to contributing to BIPAC’s mission to help private sector employees to be confident and engaged voters.

Thank you Anthony Shop for your outstanding presentation to our members! We hope to continue the conversation. What are some of your tips for engaging on LinkedIn? Drop us a comment!
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to host BIPAC's Lead on LinkedIn webinar. Thank you to Anthony Shop of Social Driver for delivering such an engaging presentation with expert takeaways and truly actionable tips for our members. I took a lot of notes throughout the webinar, but my favorite points are below: ✅ Embrace the Gray: While we should look to maintain balance between personal and professional content, if you are comfortable, try adding a personal touch to your posts. It helps your audience get to know you and shows your authenticity. ✅ Lift Others Up: LinkedIn isn’t just about telling your story. It’s a great way for you to help highlight the work your colleagues and peers are doing in your industry. ✅ Know Your Purpose: If you are trying to build your credentials as a thought leader, your content should reflect your expertise. If you are trying to engage your current audience, the tone and content will be very different. If you try to mix the two, you will confuse the algorithm and your network! Looking forward to seeing how everyone applies these strategies to take their LinkedIn presence to the next level! #Networking #ProfessionalDevelopment #LinkedIn
It is with deep sadness that BIPAC reflects on the life of Walter Foxworth, long-time member of our Board of Directors, who passed away in early August. Walter was a kind man with a servant’s heart. He was a champion for the business community and passionate about political affairs. This is a great loss for our organization and the government affairs industry at-large. His enduring support of our mission and active participation in shaping our future will be long remembered. Foxworth served on the BIPAC Board of Directors for over 20 years, was the former owner of Texas-based Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company, is a past chairman of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association, and recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lumber Association of Texas. Walter will be missed by the BIPAC community, and our condolences go to all his family and friends. You can read his full obituary at this link: https://lnkd.in/dkhbt-rV
