Black Liberation Fund

Mission The mission of the Black Liberation Fund is to free the black community from the institutional carceral system. The Black Liberation Fund works to alleviate obstacles and hardships that the stigma of incarceration brings to black families and incarcerated persons through an abolitionist, transformative justice framework offering direct services, education, advocacy, and healing resources. Vision The Black Liberation Fund envisions a community without carceral system and the institutions that currently support it. We offer resources and sustainable alternatives to imprisonment through programming, community partnerships, and advocacy to help black communities affected by the prison industrial complex in South Carolina.
