Blackwatch was honored to be a sponsor for the 1st Annual FBI Agents Association Jack Hess Memorial Golf Tournament to help the FBIAA MEMBERSHIP ASSISTANCE FUND (MAF), which provides financial assistance to FBIAA members and their families who have been affected by a sudden, unforeseen tragedy. The Fund has helped FBI families make emergency travel, afford treatments for grave illnesses and injuries, purchase necessary durable medical equipment and pay for funeral expenses. Since its inception, the fund has provided over $2.6 million to almost 700 FBI Special Agent families in need. Blackwatch was honored to sponsor a team for this crucial funding raising event. The day was filled camaraderie, competition, and cherished memories of John "Jack" Hess from his family and friends that created a lasting impression. I attended the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF) Roundtable with government and industry executive experts on the importance of managing the security risks associated with our federal and national infrastructure around supply chain risk management. The interaction between the experts and the audience around Section 889 of the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act, SolarWinds, and state and local governments managing and addressing risk within the complex links found in the technology supply chain was extremely productive and riveting dialogue. GBEF had subject matter expertise for Federal, State, and local governments, energy, commerce, national security, and policy organizations to address the improvements on our country’s telecommunications supply chain and sourcing strategies.
