Last week, on the 86th floor of the Willis Tower Cofounder & CEO Sophia Wennstedt pitched alongside Chicago-based startups for Morgan Stanley Inclusive Venture Lab - Blip Energy won the competition! The Lab provides programming and capital to promotes financial inclusion for early-stage technology and technology-enabled companies. Winning the competition has fast-tracked Blip Energy into the program, which received upwards of 8,000 applications for only 25 slots!

These demonstration projects are a critical step in the commercialization process. Fortunate to be mission aligned with such terrific partners in Grid Catalyst, Minnesota Power, and the Center for Microgrid Research at the University of St. Thomas.
Meet another Midwest member of our 2024 Demonstration Cohort! Blip Energy is defining a new smart home category with an affordable, plug and play 2.5 kWh battery system. Blip’s flexible storage system can be plugged into a standard wall outlet and connected to wifi. In the case of a power outage, the battery can be used to keep critical home appliances and devices running.
