Amanda, a DVM student at Michigan State University, shares her externship experience at Kern Road Veterinary Clinic! 🙌 "My experience at Kern Road was really great and highly versatile! I was able to switch between the small animal and equine sides of things and get a huge variety of experiences. The doctors were amazing teachers throughout, and they were very enthusiastic about letting me get hands-on experiences with surgery, diagnostics, physical exams, client communication, and so much more. The staff at the clinic were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. My favorite thing I learned was honestly getting the true experience of being the doctor on cases! The doctors were very trusting of me, which really helped with my overall confidence and will be an incredible help when I start my full-time career." Meet Rebecca (or Becca as we like to call her), our Field Marketing Manager! 👋 Becca has always been passionate about pet welfare, and joining the team at Blue River PetCare has helped her combine her passion with her career. 🤝 Since joining the team two years ago as a Field Marketing Specialist, Becca has grown immensely in her career and now leads the Field Marketing team as they support our practices across the country in local-level marketing endeavors. When she's not focused on marketing, she also helps foster connection across the corporate team by serving on BRP's Culture Committee! 🌟 "It was always a goal of mine to work in an animal-focused industry and I was thrilled to start that at Blue River. In my first role here, I spent most of my days talking to Practice Managers at our hospitals, which was always a rewarding experience. I learned so much about the veterinary industry through them and now, as my position has changed, I've gotten to collaborate with more internal team members which has been equally as rewarding." On her days off, you'll most likely find Becca volunteering at her local animal rescue, spending time with her pup, Kiwi, or reading a book recommended by the BRP Book Club. 🐶📚 We're so proud to have Becca as a member of our team and love to see her continued growth at Blue River PetCare!
