  • 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that Boys to Men Mentoring has been awarded a generous, multi-year grant totaling $50,000 from the Players Coalition! 🎉 This funding will significantly support our mission to provide mentorship and guidance to underserved high school and middle school boys, helping them develop into responsible, self-sufficient men. The Players Coalition, founded by professional athletes, is dedicated to making an impact on social justice and racial equality, connecting low-income youth to the resources they need to become the best versions of themselves. “This grant represents a significant milestone for Boys to Men Mentoring and will have a lasting impact on the lives of many struggling teens,” said Rose Courtney Executive Director. “The funding will allow us to expand our programs into more schools and reach more boys in dire need of guidance and support. The Players Coalition’s dedication to empowering underserved communities aligns perfectly with our values and mission.” READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/g3Kbgqvj

  • We're improving the mental health of our youth by providing a safe place for boys to unload their burdens, be validated for their feelings, honored for their courage and supported in new choices.

The boy crisis in our country is real, and it's impacting our communities in profound ways. Boys are diagnosed with ADHD at twice the rate of girls, underperforming in school and accounting for 70% of failing grades. The suicide rate among boys is four times higher than girls, with a five times greater likelihood of incarceration. Fatherless or under-fathered boys are especially at risk, with a national average of 34% being raised without a positive male role model. This leaves many to navigate the path to manhood alone, often leading to mental health issues that can persist into adulthood, including unemployment, substance abuse, and homelessness - issues that are prevalent in our local SD community. This National Mental Health Awareness Month, Boys to Men Mentoring (B2M) is committed to shedding light on a solution to the mental health crisis in teens. Our proven principles and in-school and community mentoring programs offer teenage boys a safe space to share their feelings, fears, and traumas. Help us shine a light together and pave a brighter path for our youth. We CAN make a difference. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #BoysToMenMentoring #BreakTheCycle #SupportOurBoys

It was an honor sharing my story on Saturday for B2M Mentoring Network's 2nd Annual Rooted In Resiliency Celebration. This program changed my life 26 years ago and I am grateful to be a part of this organization as it expands throughout San Diego County. If you are interested in donating your time or money please visit: https://boystomen.org/

  • Our second annual Rooted In Resiliency celebration was an unforgettable evening. From start to finish, it was a night filled with warmth, generosity, and a shared commitment to empowering young men. We cannot thank you enough to all that shared the magic with us. Because of the incredible support and generosity of people like you, we raised an astonishing $400,000! These funds will play a crucial role in expanding our mentoring programs and reaching even more boys in need. We are deeply grateful for your support and look forward to continuing this journey together. A special thanks to: Stedman Graham Allie Wagner Anna Couvrette All of our incredible sponsors B2M staff, volunteers and vendors The entire team at Coasterra
