Colleague Spotlight: Katie Messer Title: ED Registrar Inspiration in Healthcare: Katie’s journey into healthcare was inspired by her visits to the VA Nursing Home to see her grandfather. She was deeply moved by the excellent care provided by the nurses and doctors there. After college, Katie earned her CNA license and worked in the same nursing home for 20 years, where she found immense joy in helping residents and their families. Contribution to Team Environment: Katie brightens the work environment with her willingness to help out and her sense of humor, making the day more enjoyable for both patients and coworkers. Passions and Hobbies: Katie loves spending quality time with her husband and six children. They enjoy boating and having Game Night where they play board games together.
