We wanted to inform you that the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) ORDER ADOPTING ENERGY BROKER AND ENERGY CONSULTANT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS has been temporarily halted until August 30th due to a temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by a New York court in response to recent appeals. This is exciting news! On August 30th, the PSC is scheduled to present an oral argument to defend their implementation plans. BOX is committed to following along with the changes and adapting so that we can continue to sell in New York. In the meantime, Broker Online Exchange is reverting to the New York broker processes that were in place prior to the issuance of the order. This means BOX will be turning off the New York broker registration checks and removing the fee disclosure language from our contracts. We promise to closely monitor the situation and keep you posted with all market changes.
