As seen at Buffalo Business First’s Brick by Brick Awards 2024 🏆! The Buffalo Convention Center was recently honored with a Buffalo Business First 2024 Brick by Brick Award, recognizing outstanding real estate, construction, and development projects in Western New York. Designed and constructed by Trautman Associates and Rodriguez Construction Group, Inc., this renovation project transformed the front into an illuminated structure. The new 27,000-square-foot facade design incorporates steel cladding and a backlit polycarbonate face with color-changing LED lighting. Funded through Erie County’s capital projects fund and the RENEW Plan, the $6 million exterior makeover follows a recent investment of $1.2 million in lobby improvements, including flooring and lighting. “Receiving the Brick by Brick Award on behalf of Erie County acknowledges the positive impact the new facade has provided, not only to our out-of-town guests but to our community,” said Jeff Calkins, Buffalo Convention Center Vice President and General Manager. “The dramatic entry brightens an aging building and creates a sense of pride for our region.” Thank you to Buffalo Business First for this wonderful honor! #InTheBUF #buffalony #buffaloconventioncenter #MeetInBUF
