The BNPA is the WNY chapter of American Payroll Association, a professional society for Payroll and Human Resources Professionals. Founded in 1993, it is run by local payroll professionals and offers networking opportunities, CPP and FPC recertification credits, as well as community events, and study groups. The APA is the nation's leader in payroll education, publications, and training. The nonprofit association conducts more than 300 payroll training conferences and seminars across the country each year and publishes a complete library of resource texts and newsletters.

When your non-exempt employees travel for work, much of that time is required to be counted as "time worked" under Federal employment law- which means it compensable. Employees need to be paid for this time, but even more significantly, this time should be included in employees' total work hours recorded for the week, and therefore count toward overtime eligibility too.
