    This morning was the first program in the Downtown Cranford Business Development Series, in partnership with UCEDC, a nonprofit economic development corporation! Cranford business owners enjoyed refreshments and light bites before viewing a presentation from Business Boosters on the importance of branding. Thank you to Mary Adelman from UCEDC, Nicole and Tom from Business Boosters LLC, and the business owners who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. Upcoming programs in the Downtown Cranford Development Series include Designing Your Success: Unlocking Canva's Potential for Entrepreneurs (May 15), Navigating Social Media for Small Business Success (June 12), and Google My Business (July 10). More information on these upcoming presentations will be shared closer to the event dates.

    Am I the 1,000th person to post this? Certainly felt it and it was quite strong. This was the first earthquake experience for me kids. One was quite shaken, one was curious and supportive and one said she had to go to work and I heard a door slam. Growing up in Trinidad & Tobago, believe it or not we had a lot more events like this. This quake in NJ brought back memories of quakes in the Caribbean I experienced growing up. People are surprised when I say that we get earthquakes in the Caribbean but we do! Just for comparison; Since 2023, New Jersey has had 9 earthquakes of magnitudes up to 4.8: - 1 quake above magnitude 4 - 6 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3 - 2 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel. Since 2023, Trinidad and Tobago has had 18 quakes of magnitudes above 2 and up to 4.2: - 1 quake above magnitude 4 - 13 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4 - 4 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3
