Following a successful first-phase deployment in October, C-Power launched the second-phase deployment of our SeaRAY #oceanenergy system at the US Navy’s Wave Energy Test Site (WETS) in Hawaii earlier this month. Combined, the two deployments mark the world’s first field test of ocean energy technology purpose-built to support static and mobile assets with in-situ power, subsea energy storage, and real-time data and communications support. #oceaneconomy #blueeconomy #offshoreenergy #security #defense #renewableenergy #electrification #cleantech #decarbonization #subsea #subseaengineering

Kudos to Kristiana Terrasa for a job well done presenting at the UTC - Underwater Technology Conference in Bergen, Norway, earlier this month. #UTC2024 was an impactful event exploring the energy transition for the #oceaneconomy and the need for #renewableenergy solutions that solve the energy trilemma of security, affordability and availability for offshore operations. Thanks to our industry colleagues for the great discussions advancing this critical issue. #oceanenergy #subsea #subseaengineering #offshoreenergy #cleantech #decarbonization

Today is International Women in Engineering Day, created 11 years ago by the Women's Engineering Society. Women remain under-represented in #engineering, but at C-Power we proudly boast an all-women #mechanicalengineering team of Andrea Wood, Emma Bartlett, and Lisa Hildebrand. Abby McConnell also recently joined the C-Power team as a mechanical engineering graduate research associate from Oregon State University. Thank you to all of these amazing women for your work to advance #oceanenery engineering and unlock the future of the #oceaneconomy and #netzero global economy. #INWED24 #subseaengineering #subsea #offshoreenergy #cleantech #renewableenergy #cleantech

Today is #WorldOceanDay, recognized by the United Nations since 2008 as a day of collective action for a healthy ocean and a stable climate. At C-Power, our business is #oceanenergy, which means every day is ocean day. We are committed to harvesting energy from the world's biggest and best battery responsibly. Not only is ocean energy a #zerocarbon source of #renewableenergy needed to help the world #decarbonize, our systems can also enable more environmentally responsible development of the #oceaneconomy. For example, C-Power's SeaRAY ocean energy system recently completed pre-deployment testing with the BioSonics Marine Life Observer (pictured below). When the SeaRAY is deployed at the US Navy's Wave Energy Test Site this summer, it will provide power and data for this #subsea data-gathering device that enables informed decisions that preserve the health of the ocean environment.

Through rain (and more rain) and sunshine, our upgraded SeaRAY #oceanenergy system has made it back to Marine Core Base Hawaii in Oahu, traveling all the way from our facility in Corvallis, Oregon, where it received more advanced power electronics and other improvements. We look forward to redeploying for the second phase of our field test at the US Navy’s Wave Energy Test Site this summer, when we plan to showcase the SeaRAY’s ability to provide power and data communications for #subsea sensors and a Saab Sabertooth #AUV. #oceaneconomy #blueeconomy #marineenergy #offshoreenergy #subseaengineering #cleantech #decarbonization #renewableenergy
