California Community Land Trust Network

The Bolinas Community Land Trust (BCLT) and residents of the Bo-Linda Vista RV Park are profiled in the San Francisco Chronicle today for our ongoing work on the Tacherra Ranch Project. Our thanks to journalists J.K. Dineen and Lea Suzuki for spending time with us to help deepen awareness of this important project. We are proud of the work we are accomplishing within our community and are conscious of its potential as a model across the State of California. In Bolinas we have never been afraid to be different. The article emphasizes the importance of workforce housing. And, at BCLT we honor our Hispanic and Latino/a neighbors for who they are more than what they do. We value longstanding cultural traditions that prioritize family, food, music, and collective wellbeing through a commitment to justice. BIG NEWS: Yesterday, the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) unanimously voted to approve sending a $20B affordable housing bond to the voters on the November 2024 ballot! If passed, the measure will support the development and preservation of approximately 90,000 affordable homes throughout the Bay Area. We're advocating with our partners at Enterprise Community Partners and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to prevent the Foreclosure Intervention Housing Preservation Program (FIHPP) from being cut from the California state budget. FIHPP is a critical preservation & anti-displacement program that the state needs now.
