#September is #NationalSuicidePreventionMonth. Over the past two decades, the suicide rate has grown 32% and is the 10th leading cause of death nationwide among adults. From 2011 to 2022, over half a million lives (539,810) were lost to suicide, with 2022 showing the highest number of deaths on record.While those are just numbers, that equates to a death from suicide every 40 seconds. That means someone else passed away during the time it took to type this post. @CapeFoxCorp recognizes that a strong social support system is essential for maintaining physical and psychological health and can provide the ultimate support for a person in need. Let’s keep the discussion on #Suicide going and reverse the stigma. Let’s change the conversation from suicide to actions that can promote healing, help, and give hope. Today, we honor women who broke barriers, kept fighting for equality, and stood out for their strength. Women have the power to lead, explore, create, nurture, revolutionize, innovate, legislate, and transform! Women’s Equality Day commemorates the 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting the right to vote to women. Although the 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18th, 1920, it was not until it had been ratified by a two-thirds majority of states - a week later, on August 26, that it was officially enacted. Women’s Equality Day reminds us of the hurdles overcome by the heroic women who faced violence and discrimination in their efforts to continuously advance the Women's Movement. It took 72 years for women to earn this right, and today, we continue to honor those brave women and the women who have come after who were trailblazers. On Women's Equality Day, we commemorate the efforts of those groundbreaking activists, celebrate the remarkable achievements of women, and reaffirm our commitment to equality under the law. They forged a path forward with the goal being #Equality for all. Today, let’s honor the women who had the vision and the drive to create change.
