  • In our industry, we often see things in perfectly good condition end up in the waste stream. At Casella, we go above and beyond for our customers and communities, calling attention to the items we see and proposing solutions to find the material its highest and best use. Non-perishable food collection during college move-out is a perfect example of this—diverting this material from disposal and putting it into the hands of those in need. 🗣 : Meghan Weeden - Business Development Manager Check out how Casella’s Dustin Carnes and Tansy Sanchez teamed up with Collegetown Terrace Apartments to make a sustainable impact on the Tompkins County community.

Employees from across Casella’s operating footprint recently had the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other top-notch leaders from within the company and around the industry at the annual Maintenance and Operations Summit. Themed “The Power of Hard Work,” the 2024 summit highlighted the importance of service on and off the clock, while celebrating the veteran community alongside Travis Mills and the Travis Mills Foundation. “We look forward to hosting the Maintenance and Operations Leadership Summit each year. The benefits are numerous, including education, networking, and a healthy dose of community engagement,” said Casella Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Sean Steves.
