From the cradle of U.S. music education comes an exciting collection of works for school and youth ensembles! The COOS-BPS Collection features commissions from over a dozen Black composers commissioned by Castle of Our Skins and created in collaboration with music ensembles from Boston Public Schools Each work includes a Curriculum Guide providing educators with culturally responsive teaching tools and materials. By developing a catalog of accessible music that mirrors America’s rich, culturally diverse landscape, we’re hoping these works inspire creative thought and interaction, while exposing young minds to a wide range of contemporary African diasporic composers. Purchases from this collection support music education programs at Castle of Our Skins and Rising Tide Music & Arts .
