General Dynamics Electric Boat has been awarded a $1.3 billion contract modification from the United States Department of Defense. The contract will allow the company to purchase materials for Virginia-class Block VI submarines. “Consistent funding for the supply base is essential to achieve the high-rate production the Navy requires of the entire submarine enterprise,” says Electric Boat president Kevin Graney. #manufacturing #supplychain #cteconomy
