Our commitment to serving our communities is a key part of our mission and values at Celanese. Every September, our sites across the world celebrate #GlobalImpactMonth, which is a special opportunity to once again focus on volunteerism and giving back. To kick things off this year, our Oberhausen team participated in the #MUKOBikeTour in Bocholt. For the past 10 years, hundreds of amateur and professional cyclists from all over Germany have come together to ride through the Münsterland region in support of the German Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation. The bike tour aims to support research into this disease, with the hope of finding a cure in the future. Despite the hot weather, Oberhausen employees successfully completed the 59-kilometer ride with lots of fun and enthusiasm. Stay tuned for the many activities the rest of our sites are leading throughout this month! #CelaneseCares #ChemistryOfUs

Tune into the latest The Chemical Show Podcast episode to hear Kevin Norfleet, global sustainability director at Celanese, discuss our #CCU project and why it recently won the American Chemistry Council's Sustainability Leadership Award in the #circularity category! #CarbonCapture #ChemistryOfUs
Driving innovation and sustainability is a challenge every chemical industry leader is grappling with. This week, host Victoria (King) Meyer is joined by Kevin Norfleet from Celanese, Garry Grant from PPG, and Mary Reinthal from DuPont to discuss key sustainability projects and initiatives that are transforming the chemical industry. We explore the Circularity Award-winning carbon capture and utilization (CCU) project, the energy-efficient E-coats for electric vehicles, and community engagement programs that are making a difference. A few points we touch on: ♻️ Carbon capture and utilization is not only reducing emissions but creating new market opportunities. 🌎 Energy-efficient E-coats are revolutionizing automotive manufacturing while reducing greenhouse gases. 🌐 Community engagement and sustainability programs are fostering local collaborations and environmental conservation. Join us for an in depth conversation about collaboration, customers, and community: https://lnkd.in/gnjWJ4mZ #collaboration #customers #community #TheChemicalShow #ChemicalIndustry

Celanese is proud to partner with CO2 Value Europe, an international nonprofit association representing the entire carbon capture and utilization (CCU) value chain in Europe. CO2 Value Europe brings together 100+ organizations worldwide from diverse sectors and supports like-minded companies and individuals who share the vision that #CCU technologies are necessary to help the EU reach climate targets. We are uniquely positioned to deliver a wide range of solutions with captured carbon content in both upstream and downstream product chemistries. By using recycled CO2 to make methanol, we unlock the potential to offer lower carbon footprint options with carbon capture content across most of our Acetyl Chain and Engineered Materials product offerings. Customers who want increased sustainable content and reduced product footprint can find our carbon capture offerings under the new ECO-CC designation. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware provides a “home away from home” for families of ill children who need a place to stay while their kid receives treatment at a hospital. In addition to providing a safe place to stay, the Ronald McDonald House offers nurturing and supportive environments where families can be together and find comfort. Recently, Celanese employees and members of our Wilmington site Young Professionals ERG helped assemble 100 lunch kits for these families to consume on-the-go so they can take care of themselves while also caring for their loved one receiving treatment. #CelaneseCares #ChemistryOfUs

The Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (VCI) Hesse chapter recognized Celanese as the winner of its 2024 Responsible Care regional competition for its Learning Team project. This safety awareness program at our Frankfurt site has various teams identifying potential sources of danger or uncertainty in everyday work situations and empowers them to come up with workable solutions. The concept of “learning teams” builds trust and promotes the independence and adaptability of employees by giving them the freedom and discretion to do their job in a way they see fit. As the winner of the German Chemical Industry Association Hesse chapter competition, Celanese will also participate in the upcoming Responsible Care national competition – stay tuned! #ChemistryOfUs

As we celebrate #NationalInternDay today, we’re not only thankful for our summer interns’ contributions at the office, but also their dedication to giving back in the communities where we live and work. Across the United States, our interns have spent over 150 hours helping out organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities, Bonton Farms and Clear Lake Food Pantry. We’re looking forward to having a front row seat to the impact they’ll continue to drive the rest of the summer! #CelaneseCares #ChemistryOfUs
