CAP employees, friends and family pay tribute CAP employees, family and friends spent a morning helping raise flags in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11. Summertime was outage time Every summer, Central Arizona Project schedules half-plant outages for the pumping plants west of Lake Pleasant. This gives us time to perform scheduled maintenance work on critical infrastructure, including the 66,000-horsepower pumps at Mark Wilmer Pumping Plant. It takes months of planning to ensure the work is completed successfully and on time. In 2024, we estimated these outages would require 180 work orders totaling nearly 13,000 hours of labor. This video shows some of our expert craftsmen in action. https://bit.ly/3y4x3wY #ArizonaWater #CentralArizonaProject #GreatPlaceToWork
