    Global brand leaders gathered at the #CertifiedAngusBeef Culinary Center for the International Master of Brand Advantages last week! The meat professionals dove deep into our commitment to quality, from pasture to plate. 🌾🍽️ They visited Chippewa Valley Angus Farm to experience how family farmers and ranchers are dedicated to humane animal care and climate-friendly practices. In our Meat Lab, they learned about beef quality and the unique traits of various cuts. 👨🌾🥩 Around the table, they bonded over delicious meals, honed their skills and prepared to share their expertise with their teams and customers. 👨🍳🍽️ Congratulations, International Master of Brand Advantages graduates! 🎓👏

    Congratulations William Boyd, from West Texas A&M University, for receiving the 2024 Dr. Bobby VanStavern Award for Beef Quality Research from the American Meat Science Association. William studied the relationship between temperature and time in evaluating beef marbling scores using different imaging technologies. It's one example of how our beef community continues to ensure the finest beef quality for the dinner table. The annual award recognizes a college student whose research focuses on beef quality to honor the late Dr. Bobby VanStavern for his contributions to the original Certified Angus Beef quality specifications.

    A day on the farm – that’s what Meijer and Premier Foods team members experienced at Seldom Rest Farms in Michigan. The Foster family has been raising Angus cattle and crops for 41 years—now with fourth-generation youth involved. They work together to make caring for the cattle, land and environment a top priority. It’s a passion they gladly share with retailers and meat companies, like Meijer and Premier Foods, whose customers want to know how their beef is raised. “We know you are putting your hard work into having a good eating experience and we want you to know we’re right there with you,” said Scott Foster. “We were raised on this farm and have a great sense of pride in being one of the many farm families who contribute to the Certified Angus Beef® brand.” Meijer has been offering #CertifiedAngusBeef fresh cuts in stores for 29 years, as well as convenient meal solutions, like Premier Foods’ Certified Angus Beef burgers, marinated steaks, meatballs and kabobs. Pitmasters converged recently for the annual Windy City Smokeout—one of the largest barbecue and country music festivals in the U.S. The best pitmasters from Chicago and across the country prepared a feast for more than 50,000 barbecue fans each day.
