About us
he Community Foundation for Northeast Florida (www.jaxcf.org), Florida’s oldest and largest community foundation, works to stimulate philanthropy to build a better community. The Foundation helps donors invest their philanthropic gifts wisely, helps nonprofits serve the region effectively, and helps people come together to make the community a better place. Created in 1964, the Foundation had $630 million in assets at 12/31/2021 and has made approximately $640 million in grants since inception. Through our work and the work of our donors, we make a difference in the lives of people in Duval, Clay, Baker, St. Johns, Nassau and Putnam counties every day. The Community Foundation has decades of experience helping donors plan their philanthropic journeys and build a better community for themselves and those they love. Longtime Palatka businessman and quiet philanthropist, Frank V. Oliver, Jr., looked to The Community Foundation to make life better in Putnam County long after his lifetime. His estate established several endowed funds when he died in 2010, including designated endowments for six beloved organizations as well as a flexible field of interest fund to respond to emerging needs in Putnam County, one of the lowest income counties in Florida. "Frank loved Putnam County," said Joyce Oliver, Frank's widow. "He was a great philanthropist—he was always looking to make things better." #HereforGood You can have a continued impact on the future when you make a gift as part of your overall financial or estate plan.
