Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the FL Apex Accelerator Reverse Trade Show 2024 to show our support for small businesses in Central Florida. There were 125 small businesses in attendance, including over 50% minority owned, 37.6% veteran owned, and 30.4% woman owned! A big thank you to Florida APEX Accelerator, and to University of Central Florida for hosting. #cftod #buylocalnow #buylocal #RTS2024 #ucf #flapex #smallbusinesses #flsmallbusiness

We're grateful for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District for their upcoming participation in our Women Build 2024 event!! Joey Rodriguez and the rest of the team are ready to pick up their hammers...and nail it...when it comes to community support! 😊 #AffordableHousing #foreverhome

CFTOD Building Official Joey Rodriguez attended the Dedication Ceremony for Angel Saffold. Ms. Saffold, a deserving recipient of this home, worked tirelessly to accomplish her goal of home ownership. While working a full-time job, she fought hard to raise her four children in her hometown. Our region faces a housing crisis, and each home Habitat builds provides not only a home but a cascading ripple effect throughout our community. Joey said, “It’s always a great feeling to give back to our community by lending my skills and time. I give a heartfelt thanks to Habitat for Humanity, Mayor Demmings, and the CFTOF team who helped to make this possible.” The District celebrates the strong future this home will give Angel and her children. We look forward to this continued partnership and further opportunities to make an impact across our communities. #habitatforhumanity #centralflorida #apopka #orangecounty #community #service #cftod #thedistrictneversleeps

The newly-named District Fire Department is upholding its ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of all guests on district property. As Chief Eric Ferrari stated, "Today, we wholeheartedly embrace change, drawing upon the same unwavering determination that has defined our response to every call for service. Our freshly minted name and emblem signify not just a new chapter but an entirely revitalized narrative. We stand as custodians of countless cherished memories, guardians of the thousands who contribute to the magic that defines our community. Our dedication to providing world-class service and serving as a beacon within the fire service industry remains resolute and untarnished." #DistrictFD #cftod

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is proud to have joined the Osceola Chamber of Commerce as a Trustee. Our investment into the Chamber will allow the District to bring more local businesses into the recently announced Buy Local Now initiative. Buy Local Now puts a strong priority on contracting and procuring both goods and services from the Central Florida region, and across the state of Florida. The District's vision is to bring deep opportunity and prosperity to the region through the initiative. Regional businesses have applauded the new local procurement focus, and CFTOD looks forward to bringing additional business opportunities to local innovators and entrepreneurs. #BuyLocalNow #procurement #cftod
