Not only was Chaberton named the 34th fastest-growing private company in the U.S. on this year's Inc. 5000 list, but we were also profiled in a story on the future of energy in the September issue of Inc. Magazine. Inc.'s editor-at-large, Bill Saporito, writes: "To witness the future of energy, drive about 25 miles from Baltimore to West Friendship, Maryland. Turn onto a dirt road that leads to a 100-year-old farm, past rusting tractors, a pit of burning scrap wood, and a pond, and you're there: a 6.25-megawatt solar energy installation on 23 rural acres. Chaberton Energy designed the 15,000-solar-panel array on land it leases from the farmer. Chaberton is a leader in a field that's come to be known as community solar: small-scale green energy projects for groups that couldn't otherwise build their own. After Chaberton secures the land and the permits, it designs and then sells a shovel-ready package to an investor, in this case Greenbacker Renewable Energy. Loyola University in Baltimore buys part of the output of this installation, and the rest goes to the grid, where consumers lacking rooftop solar can buy renewable energy on a subscription basis. The family that owns the farm will earn lease payments for 40 years and get free electricity, explains Chaberton founder Stefano Ratti: 'This is a big deal for them; it's a piece of their heritage.'" 🌞 We're thrilled to announce that construction has officially begun on our new Lime Kiln community solar project in Howard County, Maryland! This 2.9 MWdc project, developed by Chaberton and owned and operated by Pivot Energy, will bring clean, affordable energy to Maryland residents and businesses through the Maryland Community Solar program. 🏡 Lime Kiln will produce more than 4.6 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which is enough energy to power approximately 400 homes. The environmental impact is equivalent to removing nearly 800 gas-powered cars from the road. 🌱 Beyond energy savings, Lime Kiln will improve the area's biodiversity with native pollinators like Milkweed and Black-eyed Susans (Maryland's state flower!), supporting local ecosystems and agriculture. 🌍 Thank you to all involved in making this project a reality! Stay tuned for updates as we move towards operational launch in early 2025. Together, we're building a brighter, greener, clean energy future. #CommunitySolar #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition

In a recent letter to the editor, one of Chaberton's landowner partners highlighted how our Project Snow—a community solar farm being developed in Worcester County, Maryland—will bring significant benefits to the community. These include: ☀️ Preserving land for future generations ☀️ Supplementing the ongoing need for sustainable energy ☀️ Creating local jobs and generating local tax revenue "𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺; 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺’𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦," 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘚𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘳, 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘓. Additionally, at least 40% of the benefits from the project will directly support neighbors at low- to moderate-income levels, ensuring that the positive impact reaches those who need it most and helping to make the clean energy transition equitable. 🏆 Inc. Magazine has named Chaberton Energy the 𝟑𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 on this year's Inc. 5000 list! We also clinched the No. 2 spot among all Maryland-based companies and No. 3 in the energy industry. Companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. This recognition underscores our incredible growth trajectory: we achieved profitability in just our second year of operations, and we have seen 73x revenue growth since our founding in February 2020. As a public benefit corporation, we balance this success with doing good for the communities we serve. For all new community solar capacity we develop, Chaberton Cares provides $5,000 per megawatt in funding to nonprofit organizations local to our solar projects. We recognize that being included on the Inc. 5000 is quite an achievement. And we also know we couldn't have gotten here on our own. We owe this success and our continued growth to all the Chaberton team members, customers, and partners who helped make this possible. We are so grateful to have you on this journey with us. Now, onwards! ⛰️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/efHGqWU2 #Inc5000 #communitysolar #energytransition

Students from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business’s Executive MBA program in Dubai have been helping Chaberton with a market analysis project the last several weeks, and the cohort recently visited our home office to share their findings. 🌟 The team emphasized the importance of leveraging existing expertise, focusing on customer needs, and carefully navigating market risks. The students' innovative ideas and fresh perspectives will help Chaberton continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in renewable energy. Also on the agenda was a site visit to one of our solar projects, where students got a first-hand look at what it takes to develop a renewable energy site. This fostered engaging discussions about the future of sustainable energy. This collaboration with Georgetown University underscores our commitment to education and global business leadership, driving us to achieve the highest standards in our projects and partnerships. Thank you to the talented MBA students who brought great ideas and unmatched enthusiasm to Chaberton! 🚀 #ChabertonEnergy #GeorgetownUniversity #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #FutureLeaders #CommunitySolar
