What an incredible experience visiting the James J. Rowley training center this past Wednesday.
On July 24th, some of our staff from the SSBU team visited the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD for a site visit. The SSBU has been providing security services at this location since 2016, and will continue to do so through a contract awarded to Chenega Global Protection. The SSBU team had the privilege of touring the facility and meeting some of the individuals working there. Thank you to the US Secret Service James J Rowley Training Center for your continued partnership with Chenega.

We'd like to wish a fond farewell to our summer intern Grace Kobyra. This summer she was able to learn and apply new skills in a rotational role through multiple departments at the SSBU. During her last week, she was presented with an appreciation award presented by President Tim Lamb to congratulate her on her completion of her program.

The Chenega Security California Corporation (CSCC) Fire Protection, Emergency Management & Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) IV team was invited to speak at the FBI Regional Training Exercise for the Evidence Recovery Program, hosted by NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The lecture was attended by 65 FBI Agents and members of the National Space Safety Quad Agency Working Group (NTSB, FAA, NASA, and DAF). CSCC’s Daniel Jernstedt, FEMS EM Manager, provided a 45-minute overview of launch anomaly preparation, response, and recovery procedures at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), focusing on Launch Emergency Operations Center (LEOC) operations and Launch Service Provider (LSP) interaction. Our FBI partners valued the brief which supported their understanding of their role within the CCSFS emergency response apparatus in the event of a launch anomaly caused by criminal action. Chenega’s FEMS IV program supports Space Launch Delta 45 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. As the World's Premier Gateway to Space, Space Launch Delta 45 delivers assured space launch, range and combat capabilities for the nation.
