After enjoying breakfast, Golfers teed off at 9:30 a.m.  Thanks to all who participated and supported this great event. The tournament is held to raise money to provide scholarships to economically disadvantaged student graduates and to help fund student enrichment programs. Thank you to Dr. La’Shawndra Scroggins from the U.S. Department of Education for touring #TeamCCIU’s 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) at the Melton Center in West Chester on Thursday, July 11. The CCIU was selected with two 21st CCLC programs from Philadelphia for the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Summer Program Visits. Dr. Scroggins observed teachers and students alongside Carmen Medina, Sabrina Lindsay, and WaTanya Ney from the Pennsylvania Department of Education during the visit. The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers offer a safe and engaging environment for students during after-school and summer hours, focusing on enhancing academic performance, providing recreational activities, and promoting family involvement.
