From a hopeful meeting in 2016 to opening a Chick-fil-A restaurant in 2023, see how proud Detroiter and Chick-fil-A Livonia local Owner-Operator Vikki Hardy Brown turned her patience and passion into a thriving local business.

At Chick-fil-A Sienna Crossing, three generations of women from one family work together. Tanya first brought her vibrant spirit to the team five years ago, and her enthusiasm was contagious. After hearing her mom talk about her fulfilling work experience day after day, Tanya’s daughter Tyra was encouraged to apply. Over the past three years, Tyra has thrived, gaining invaluable life skills in an environment that feels like home.     The story doesn’t end there. Ms. Rhonda, Tanya’s mom, joined the Sienna Crossing team after a 30+ year career with JPMorgan Chase. As the beloved dining room hostess, she spreads joy and makes new friends every day. Now, Tyra is set to embark on a new adventure, enlisting in the Air Force to pursue her dream of becoming an air traffic controller—a passion she’s had since she was seven. The multi-generational team and the strong bonds they share are truly inspiring. Here’s to Ms. Rhonda, Tanya and Tyra and their continued journey! 💛 

Charlie Fish, the local Owner-Operator at Chick-fil-A Oviedo /UCF recently celebrated a big milestone at his restaurant — more than 40 of his Team Members won scholarships from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to help further their education!

For Katie Branch, opening the first Chick-fil-A in her hometown of Pine Bluff, Arkansas was a dream come true. Beginning her career in the Information Technology industry, Katie discovered her passion for mentoring others by working with young professionals and leading a program of interns and apprentices. This experience inspired her to reevaluate her career path and led her to apply to own and operate her own Chick-fil-A restaurant.    Today, Katie pours into 100 full- and part-time Team Members in her restaurant – helping others see their own potential. “I love you guys, I care about your future,” Katie says to her Team Members, similar words she used to encourage interns through her 20-year IT career.

Olivia Efford and her father Glen Efford have always had a special relationship. The father-daughter duo, who once bonded over things like dance recitals and family vacations, now bond over their roles as Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators.   Initially, Olivia only planned to help out in her dad's restaurant for a week or so while it was opening. Before she knew it, she was spending every break and every summer working alongside her dad. When Olivia called her dad in tears during her senior year of college, torn about the direction of her career, her dad encouraged her to follow her heart. The conversation ultimately led her to a career path to operate her very own Chick-fil-A.

Recently, local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators in Connecticut came together to celebrate 130 Restaurant Team Members who received a collective $124,000 in scholarships from Chick-fil-A, Inc. this year! It's our pleasure to support these remarkable student leaders. 🎓

Meet Caden Rainwater, a dedicated Team Member at Chick-fil-A Jones Crossing and a 2024 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Scholar. 👋  With his $25,000 scholarship, Caden plans to finish his business management degree, specializing in entrepreneurial leadership at Texas A&M University, with the goal of one day joining the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program and becoming a local Owner-Operator. Way to go, Caden! 🎓

Serving beyond the restaurant 🤝 When Chick-fil-A Emeryville’s local Owner-Operator Jon Hooper saw a need in his community, he looked for ways to help. Thanks to his Restaurant donating surplus food, he’s helping feed underserved individuals and families at the Emeryville Citizens Assistance Program.

Last week, Chick-fil-A had the honor of hosting a heartfelt thank you lunch for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s health care providers at the USO. Chick-fil-A Chantilly Air and Space, Chick-fil-A 7th Street Inline, and Chick-fil-A La Plata provided lunch for 85 Walter Reed health care providers to show appreciation for their care and dedication to injured Special Operations Forces personnel. A special thanks to these veteran-owned, locally operated Chick-fil-A restaurants for providing the delicious food!
