Come through to our You Got This Center (YGTC) for support and resources and enjoy the fun activities, engaging conversations, and mindful workshops scheduled this month. All teens and young adults ages 16-26 are welcome to drop by 207 Dudley Street, Roxbury, MA, on Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am to 6pm, and Thursdays from 12pm to 7pm. See you there!

You will work in collaboration with our Behavioral Health Department to support the implementation of treatment/care plans designed to address youth’s mental health, behavioral/interpersonal skills, and emotional needs. We celebrated our programs' many successes, discussed the future of CSR, and embraced insights from our organization's consultants. Sandra's commitment to empowering children and families has driven CSR’s mission to provide high-quality, affordable childcare programs and crucial wraparound services. Prior roles in state government inform Sandra’s dedicated approach, and taught her the importance of breaking cycles of systemic racism and poverty in preventing youth from entering the child welfare or criminal justice system. Thank you, Sandra, for supporting local community members on their journeys to financial stability and growth. We feel incredibly lucky to have you with us on INP’s faculty. As one of Massachusetts’ largest Black-run nonprofits, Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc. (CSR) is one of our 124 organizations selected for partnership within our Direct Service Portfolio, working to empower families, combat systemic racism, and pave the way from poverty to stability and wealth-building. For over 50 years, Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc. has provided wraparound programs, including family shelter, behavioral health services, foster care, early education, and youth development. This track record alone is impressive, but the outcomes of CSR’s innovative hip-hop therapy program demonstrate how life’s rough beats can be transformed into meaningful change for the youth and young adults who participate. Read about it here 👉 https://bit.ly/3WMEand 🎤 🎧🎼 The Beats, Rhymes, and Life (BRL) program, launched in 2018, engages youth through hip-hop therapy, addressing mental health needs in communities of color. In five years, BRL has impacted over 750 youth, reducing anxiety by 33%, trauma reactions by 52%, and depression by 22%, surpassing traditional programs. Together with CSR, we aim to create opportunities and a future where youth, especially those disconnected from school or work, have access to education and career pathways.

#CSRWholesomeWednesdays: Our Behavioral Health Department and the You Got This Center (YGTC) participated in El Convite Banilejo, an event that celebrated Dominican culture in the Boston area. It was a wonderful opportunity for CSR to further connect with the communities we serve and join in celebrating the vibrant and diverse Dominican diaspora. 

Dedham Savings Community Foundation (DSCF) has awarded $10,000 to Children’s Services of Roxbury for our capacity building initiatives. The Foundation’s grant will support CSR to prepare for growth and scaling our programs over the next 3-5 years, reaching 1,500 additional community members across Massachusetts and creating more than 175 career-oriented jobs. We are so appreciative of your support DSCF!

In this role, you will engage, assess, and support young children and their families in accessing the best community-based mental health services available. #CSRFamilyFridays: We had an incredible time at this year's annual all-staff cookout! Our wonderful staff, along with friends and family, came together for a great day filled with delicious food, fun games, massages, and lots of laughter. It's important for us to be intentional in creating space for self-care, ever so simple, to balance the important work we do.
