⭐ News You Can Use! ⭐ August's Compliance Tip of the Month The compliance tip of the month for August is focused on an organization’s Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Hospitals are often cited when based on a review of documents or staff/leadership interviews a surveyor is not able to see how services or departments are incorporated into the QAPI program. The program must also include the organization’s compliance with the NFPA life safety code and care environment. Additionally, CMS now requires surveyors to evaluate not only the data and analysis itself but how the organization goes about ensuring that there is sustained improvement over time in order to determine the success of the overall program.
