Earlier this summer, Moderna announced that their RSV vaccine, mRESVIA, received FDA approval. This significant milestone means we are one step closer to bringing this life-saving treatment to the broader population, a feat that we can all be proud of. In collaboration with the principal investigators at our research location in northern New Jersey, our Team supported this RSV vaccine Phase 2/3 study and achieved a 96% retention rate for participants, ranking us in the top 4 globally for retention and placing us in the top 1.5% of all participating sites. This study, among other vaccine studies, has made vaccine research a cornerstone for our New Jersey Team, which consistently delivers on hitting enrollment goals and ensuring that patients feel informed and comfortable with their research participation. Our Northern New Jersey Team has had a busy August—they have attended five community events in the past two weeks!   Community events are an incredible way for our Team to get out into the communities that they serve and help spread awareness of clinical research. Part of providing clinical trial access to people nationwide is partnering with incredible physicians who have trusted relationships with their patients.   One of those physicians is Dr. Isha Gupta from Middletown Medical. Our Team is passionate about many things: helping people find care options with clinical trials, providing next-level support to physicians getting started in research, and playing our part in advancing medicine. Last month, our Western New York clinical research team attended a festival celebrating Juneteenth. Despite record-breaking heat, they were able to meet with people in the community and spread awareness of the benefits of clinical research—with ice packs and freeze pops in tow! Moderna recently announced that they have received FDA approval for their RSV vaccine, mRESVIA; it is their second mRNA product to receive approval.    Our team played a part in this incredible achievement as one of the participating research sites in the Phase 2/3 study for the vaccine. From Jose A. Flores, our Senior Site Director for our Northern New Jersey district, who led our research team in the study, “The team has been doing an amazing job...Our study team follows each participant for two years, starting with randomization. We achieved our success and recognition by Moderna because our research staff consistently followed up with patients with monthly safety calls, in-person visits, unscheduled illness visits, AEs, SAE, and weekly eDiary review completion.” We congratulate Moderna on this accomplishment and look forward to seeing more trials leading to the same outcome! At Circuit Clinical, we work every day to bring clinical trials to communities through our Site Partnership Network and our Remote Site Network—with the goals of expanding access to research and improving inclusion.
