Economic & Community Development Director Dan Dias moderated an industry panel on U.S. and Japan collaboration during the National Association of Japan-America Societies Annual Conference! The topic focused on how firms are working together to build a stronger, more sustainable workforce. Panelists included speakers from Hillsboro’s Tokyo Electron US, JSR Micro, Inc., and Intel Corporation. A representative from JAMA was also a panelist.

Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Cornelius Pass Road Bridge over Butternut Creek! This new bridge will provide direct access from Reed’s Crossing to Butternut Creek, and the future South Hillsboro fire station. The bicycle and pedestrian features will help connect regional trails, promote active transportation, create opportunities for recreation, and promote overall livability – safely connecting people to parks, natural areas, and green spaces!
