One of the elements unveiled at the event was a video the city produced, featuring Mike Boylan with Mike's Weather Page. Mike shares various scenarios that explain why it's important to have a plan in place and evacuate when ordered. 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟯𝟰, 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗬 𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟱 During the Sept 3 City Council meeting, the City Council adopted Resolution 2024-34, establishing a tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25. This follows the budget presentation on July 16 and the work session on Aug 13. As required by Florida law, the tentative budget was adopted after the tentative millage rate. A second public hearing for the final adoption of the budget and millage rate is scheduled for Tues, Sept 17 at 7pm.

𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧: 𝗥𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟵 (𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝘀) During the Sept 3 City Council meeting, Resolution 2024-29 was adopted, amending the Stormwater Utility Management fees. The new rates include a $2 increase per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) for both service tiers. These funds will help support essential stormwater projects & improvements, addressing drainage issues, and enhancing sustainability & resiliency efforts.
