Scottsdale is excited to announce its brand-new college scholarship program, Scottsdale Promise. 🎓 The program is specifically tailored to benefit current residents of Scottsdale or graduates of Scottsdale-based high schools who: ◾ Qualify for Arizona in-state (in-county) tuition ◾ Demonstrated and documented financial need ◾ Are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per academic year Scottsdale Promise is a collaborative effort between the city of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale Unified School District and the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation. Scholarship funds can be used toward tuition, books or course fees and can be renewed for up to four semesters (two years) at community colleges within the Maricopa Community Colleges. As a last-dollar and stipend program, Scottsdale Promise provides financial support after all other grants and scholarships have been awarded. The Scottsdale City Council approved the allocation of $500,000 in seed funding, with an initial commitment of up to $100,000 for the first year.
