Clara Maass Medical Center joined leaders from RWJBarnabas Health, the Corporate Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the Medical Group, at the 19th Annual Newark Pride Parade and Festival on Sunday, July 14. The parade, spanning one mile, commenced at Lincoln Park and concluded at Harriet Tubman Square. At the festival, teams from the three hospitals conducted health screenings and shared health information and LGBTQ+ resources.

This week CMMC launched our new overhead song to celebrate the end of treatment for our oncology patients! Heartfelt thanks to our very special patient Laura, who had the idea for the celebratory song when she finished her treatment at our Cancer Center. Here is Laura hearing the song for the first time and celebrating the launch with fellow members of our monthly Cancer Support group, along with Dr. Dolly Razdan, radiation oncologist, and our Cancer Center team members Wendy Pritchett, Meghan Merkel, Jerry Maniscalchi, Michelle Ashley and Caprina Tomlinson.
