Meet Keith, he has worked in our maintenance department for almost a year. Keith has over 35 years of experience in contracting and remodeling, he decided to apply at CPC last year because he heard it was a nice place to work and the staff were friendly. Keith likes working in maintenance due to the diversity of projects and the people he works with, "everyone is very friendly and supportive," comments Keith. Clarion Psychiatric Center would like to congratulate Brandy Conner, MHT; Shaun Parrish, Maintenance Tech; and Ashley Snyder, MHT as they each passed the Venango Technology Center LPN Training Program. They embarked on this journey in December of 2022 when they applied for CPC’s internal LPN Training and Tuition forgiveness program. Less than 2 years later they have completed it and in the next coming months, will be preparing to take their LPN Licensure exam and will move into an LPN position at the Center. Kayla Lee, Director of Education and Training said “The entire CPC team is so very proud of what these three individuals have accomplished and wish them the best of luck in the coming months.”

Clarion Psychiatric Center and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive on July 8, 2024 from 9am to 2:30pm. Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today! Local area student Bella Black, senior at Keystone High School was presented with a $1000.00 Stop the Stigma scholarship by Kayla Lee, DNP, MBA, MSN, RN, Director of Education & Training at Clarion Psychiatric Center. Bella submitted an essay on the need for mental health care in our community and stopping the stigma associated with mental illness. We are so proud to offer this scholarship to Bella, she will be attending Slippery Rock University in the Fall and will study secondary English education. She looks forward to making an impact on student's lives and being a role model to help in the prevention of suicide. #StopTheStigma

As #mentalhealthawarenessmonth came to a close, we celebrated our staff one more time with gourmet cupcakes from a local vendor Cutie Pie Cup Cakes. Staff look forward to their delicious cupcakes each year. We have a tremendous group of professionals who deliver our services, and we are grateful for their commitment and dedication to our patients.

Staff sported their new t-shirts on Friday to show their support and care for other staff and patients. We celebrated #nationalnursesweek, May 6-12, by having our child and adolescent patients make posters showing their appreciation for our nurses! Our allied therapy staff provided this activity to thank our nurses for their invaluable contribution to our facility and providing compassionate care to our patients. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth

In recognition of #mentalhealthawarenessmonth, our hospital had a Sweet and Savory Dip Day contest amongst employees. A total of 15 employees entered their delicious dips in the competition and two prevailed as the winners; Nikki, from medical records made a deliciously sweet chocolate chip dip and Curt, Director of Plant Operations entered his bomb.com boat dip! What a fun and tasty way to celebrate mental health awareness and show some #staffappreication!

Brenda has worked in our Dietary Department for almost 13 years! Brenda went on to say "what I like about dietary is cooking and baking, and interacting with staff and patients." Brenda has over 35 years in the food service industry, and we appreciate her commitment to providing delicious and healthy meals for our patients and staff.
