The Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, an official PGA TOUR Champions event, makes its first appearance at La Paloma Country Club and The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa March 3rd-10th, 2024. The event welcomes a 78-player field competing for a $2.2 million purse. Professional golf has a longstanding history in the Tucson Community with a PGA TOUR sanctioned event being played in Tucson every year, dating back to the inaugural Tucson Open in 1945. The Tucson Conquistadores have operated each of those events since 1966. The Tucson Conquistadores are the operating arm of the PGA TOUR Champions’ Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, managing all facets of the event. Since their inception in 1962, the Conquistadores have contributed more than $37.2 million to local and national charities. The Conquistadores are comprised of 58 active members and a total membership of 231 who represent a cross-section of the Tucson community. The Tucson Conquistadores is a true working organization, with all active members playing key roles in the tournament.
