Recently, we installed 16 units onto a cold storage facility roof in Fredericksburg, VA. A previously unconditioned area has been converted into a cold storage zone. Due to the overall building size and location of the units, the team chose to conduct a helicopter lift instead of using a crane. The equipment weighed 44,170 pounds and is cooling 328,920 square feet of space.   Kudos to Mike Hall (Construction Manager), Adam Grabfelder (Senior Project Manager), Adam Weatherford (Senior Superintendent), and Joe Proffit (Foreman) for successfully planning and executing this lift! Within days, all units were up and running smoothly. Nice job team! It’s not every day, you get to use a helicopter to get the job done!   Great work, team!   #ProjectsTeam #lift #helicopter #RTUs #coldstorage

ColonialWebb was recently recognized as a Virginia Schools Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll Award recipient during a Henrico County School Board meeting. This award highlights businesses that support local school divisions. We’d like to express our gratitude to Henrico County Public Schools for this honorable recognition and are delighted to contribute to the ongoing education in Henrico County.   Below is a quote from the VSBA:   “Local businesses have the power to shape community attitudes about public schools, and the VSBA Business Honor Roll is a way for local school divisions to recognize local businesses for their support, especially as schools face increasing budget uncertainty. The Business Honor Roll helps divisions say 'thank you' to these businesses for their vital contributions. Businesses large and small, corporate-owned or family-run, play a key role in supporting our communities and local schools. They contribute to our school divisions in many ways, including helping schools with in-kind or financial contributions, donating to scholarship programs, supporting extracurricular activities, offering internship opportunities, volunteering in the schools, and sponsoring field trips. This type of support is invaluable.” #education #givingback #thankyou
