Today we proudly announce our strategic collaboration with Piasecki Aircraft Piasecki Aircraft Corporation to deliver upgraded heavy-lift helicopters worldwide. Together, we will upgrade existing Columbia Model 107-II helicopters to a new, more fuel-efficient, powerful and robust configuration – the Columbia Model CHI-107-III. Modifications and testing will take place at Piasecki’s 219,000-square-foot Heliplex facility in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The Heliplex will also serve as Columbia’s new field site, expanding opportunities on the East Coast. This partnership supports customers in essential services such as emergency response, aerial #firefighting, #forestry, #infrastructure, and #defense. The military variant of the Model 107-II is the CH-46E Sea Knight (Phrog), which served with the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy, as well as allies in Sweden and Japan. David Balevic, CEO, Columbia Helicopters, said: "The new Columbia Model 107-III will transform the heavy-lift helicopter market, providing unrivalled performance and versatility for our customers. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and together with our partners at Piasecki, will deliver enhanced heavy-lift aircraft that save lives, protect nations, and build industries for decades to come.” Click on the link below to read more https://lnkd.in/g6_-xXjN #helicopters #aviation #partnership

As we commemorate Columbia Helicopters' 67th anniversary, it's a special occasion to remember that it all began with Wes Lematta in 1957. Over a half-century later, we're immensely proud of the reputation we've forged as a global leader in heavy-lift helicopter operations, and as a trusted expert in our OEM, AOP, and MRO services. I'm honored to reflect on the legacy crafted over the past six decades. From the humble beginnings in 1957, to the current stature as pioneers in vertical flight solutions, every achievement stands as a testament to the dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment of each member of the Columbia family, both past and present. As we pay homage to our rich heritage, we eagerly anticipate the future. Our enduring pursuit of excellence propels us to continually enhance our capabilities in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), and Aircraft Operations (AOP). By embracing innovative solutions and drawing upon our wealth of experience, we stand ready to cater to our customers' needs. As we embark on this exciting journey of expansion, let us never forget the vision that has guided us thus far: integrity, safety, performance, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. Guided by these principles, we'll write the next chapter of Columbia Helicopters' legacy, ever more resolute in our dedication to excellence. Dave Balevic, President and CEO, Columbia Helicopters
