Over the last two days I had the opportunity to learn the new CDL modernization test that goes into place November 4th of this year here in Wisconsin. Changes to the pre-trip and the basic control skills were the main focus as the road test remains unchanged. First of all thanks to Paul and the staff at Fox valley Tech in Appleton for a great job in educating us on the new testing procedure! Secondly I would like to remind ALL CDL schools...we do not teach to pass the test, we teach to give our new drivers EVERYTHING they need to be SAFE, proficient and professional drivers. The new CDL testing shortened the pre-trip and eliminates some backing maneuvers. Keep in mind we still need to teach what is required in the Entry Level Driver Training Curriculum. My passion has always been to educate to the fullest and not take shortcuts and not to train to pass a test, but to train to give knowledge and skills to be the safest they can be!

In some cases, the email asks carriers to upload a copy of a certificate of insurance and Driver’s License to protect against fraud.
