About us

Communitology is a US-based, women-owned consulting firm that provides consulting, immigration expertise, research, and strategic planning. Our work is grounded in social science, local knowledge, and a high standard for excellence. Our consulting services include: Research and analysis, Monitoring & Evaluation Qualitative Analysis and Data Analytics, and Training & Capacity Building. Our Strategy and Planning services include: Strategy development, Fundraising and grant-writing, Facilitation services, and Project management. Our firm also provides country-of-origin affidavits, reports, and court testimonies from Ph.D. level social scientists with deep regional knowledge and experience, outstanding research skills, and exemplary presentation and delivery. To date, we have delivered testimony in over 50 cases in the US, UK, Canada, and international courts. We provide neutral and independent research for: Affirmative asylum cases, Defensive asylum cases, Convention against Torture cases, and Withholding of removal cases.

    Expert Spotlight: Dr. Lauren Wallace Dr. Lauren Wallace is a medical anthropologist and a public health expert with more than ten years of experience in global health. She has specific expertise in health systems capacity, and sexual and reproductive health in Ghana. She is presently a Senior Researcher at the Dodowa Health Research Centre (Research and Development Division, Ghana Health Service) in Accra, Ghana, a Researcher in the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management at the School of Public Health, University of Ghana, and an instructor at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in the Faculty of Public Health.     Expert Spotlight: Mark Marchant Mark Marchant has studied, worked and lived in Kenya and Tanzania since 2008, with research consulting firms, think tanks and non-profits. This experience in policy research spaces lends itself to his teaching on health policy at LSHTM. He also worked as a research consultant for UZIKWASA, a civil society organization in Pangani, Tanzania engaging communities in developing grassroots leadership capacity for GVP prevention. With a background in political theory, his main research focus at LSHTM is on community engagement in gender violence prevention and emergent disease outbreaks.     Expert Spotlight: Dr. Olga Levina Olga S. Levina, PhD, graduated St.Petersburg State University (Russia), faculties of psychology and management. In 1996 – 2008 was working as an organizational consultant for small and medium businesses, contributing to in-country and international programs aimed at socio-economic development in post-soviet Russia. In 1998 – 2015 as a social psychologist, a Co-founder and Development Director of the NGO Stellit she was part of a wide range of health research and prevention initiatives, working in collaboration with stakeholders and scientists from Russian regions, European countries and the U.S. Many of those projects were focused on injection drug users and their sex partners; imprisoned women; socially excluded, abused and neglected children; female sex workers and their sex partners; STI clinic patients; and law enforcement, health, and other professionals and structures across Russia and other post-soviet countries. Olga Levina has experience in development and evaluation of regional and institutional level projects and programs, contributing to over 70 scientific publications in Russia and internationally. In 2013-2014 she received postdoctoral training at Yale School of Public Health. In 2015 immigrated to the U.S. and worked as an independent consultant/evaluator and a social scientist.     Expert Spotlight: Dr. Kendra Dupuy Kendra Dupuy (PhD, political science, University of Washington) is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Western Washington University, where she teaches and carries out research on African politics. She has deep knowledge of the political, social, and economic dynamics of a number of sub-Saharan African countries, and has worked extensively on issues related to political repression, armed conflict, and forced displacement in these areas.     Expert Spotlight: Dr. Molly Fitzgerald Dr. Molly Fitzgerald is a public health professional with 25 years of experience in global health programming and research. Working with civil society, governments and humanitarian actors in diverse geographic and social contexts, she has collaborated and advised on intersecting areas of health and human rights, including issues of stigma and other forms of exclusion as barriers to improved health and social equity. Much of her work has been in Africa (West and Southern Africa) centering on research and programs pertaining to access to sexual and reproductive health, HIV, and equitable health systems. Through her consulting practice JuxtaHealth LLC, she partners with organizations to design inclusive research, develops strategies, and executes programs that advance health access, gender equity and social inclusion. She holds a Master of Public Health, with a focus on Refugee Studies, and Health and Human Rights, from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Doctor of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is a Political Scientist with a particular interest in citizenship, migration and political development in Africa.
