When someone is experiencing symptoms of a potential stroke, every second counts. At the Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Emergency Pavilion at Community Medical Center, a multidisciplinary team of emergency room physicians, emergency medicine residents, a stroke coordinator, clinicians, and technicians rapidly assess and treat patients with a potential stroke. Community Medical Center was one of 39 national hospitals recently recognized by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) for notable achievement in emergency care for stroke treatment. The hospital was included in the ACEP’s 2023 Emergency Quality Network (E-QUAL) Honor Roll, recognizing exemplary emergency care for stroke or opioid/alcohol use disorder treatment.
