Cultural, social and spiritual beliefs often prevent Black, Indigenous or other people of color from talking about mental health. As a result, those who need mental health care often neglect to get treatment. During National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, take time to get the facts about mental health, and realize that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Visit https://lnkd.in/gaYP2mwX or https://lnkd.in/gWumUZM for a wealth of resources. Of course, we are always here to help. Visit www.cssbh.org/get-started.

While our offices were closed for Juneteenth on Wednesday, we had a great time celebrating with a staff potluck earlier in the week. We had so much staff participation, with many foods related to the holiday and its history. We hope everyone had a chance to enjoy celebrating! #Juneteenth

Congratulations to CSS' newest graduates and trainers of the Recovery Enhancement Practices (REP) program! The Recovery Enhancement Practices for Psychosis Program (REP) is a partnership with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center with support from the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board. REP aims to improve client outcomes and staff retention. Training provides entry level case managers with practical skills and knowledge in recovery-oriented treatment for those experiencing psychosis. Participants dedicate a year to the program, which includes an intensive two-day training and biweekly meetings with ongoing training, consultation and feedback. #retention #learning
