🌐 CompSafeNano Partners 🌐 National Health Laboratory Services The study of clinical and pathological aspects of dust diseases in the mining industry has necessitated the establishment in 1956 the Pneumoconiosis unit, now the National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOH). Over the years, the NIOH has emerged as a more modern institute with expanded responsibilities for national indicators and surveillance programmes; more attention to occupational toxicology, information and advisory services; new units for Ergonomics and Bioaerosols; an expanded education and training programmes, including a masters in occupational hygiene; and extensive international collaboration, notably with NIOSH, USA, the Health and Safety Laboratory, UK, the ILO and WHO – the NIOH joined the network of WHO Collaborating Centres in Occupational Health in 2005.   https://lnkd.in/dcHAN9ar #project #partner #cooperation #research

EHSRB generates knowledge in support of Canada's Chemicals Management Plan (CMP) and Clean Air Agenda along the environmental health research continuum, from exposure to human disease, by conducting exposure and hazard identification and assessments, mechanistic studies, and human population studies. EHSRB provides biostatistics support and training to ensure the quality and accurate analysis of research data for ERHSD and the other HECS Directorates.
